 Sam Greene, Researcher

Sam Greene is a researcher in the drylands team at IIED. His main focus is on building resilience in dryland ecosystems using decentralised climate finance that allows climate change adaptation priorities to be decided at the local level. Geographical focus is currently in Tanzania and Kenya, on projects funded by DFID. Through this work, he has developed technical experience in qualitative approaches to assessing local resilience, climate change mainstreaming into local government planning, and dissemination of climate information services. Before joining IIED, he project managed education projects at grassroots level in Malawi and Ghana, providing support to in-country community based organisations to plan and implement a range of projects.
